National Tutoring Awards 2023
We're so pleased to announce that Yipiyap has been shortlisted for this year’s Tutor Association’s National Tutoring Awards for the categories: ‘Best Tuition Delivery to Schools’ and ‘Best Educational Resources for Tuition’ for our innovative Yipiyap On Demand platform.
A lot of hard work has gone into Yipiyap On Demand’s first year and it is such an honor getting recognised by The Tutors Association.
What are the National Tutoring Awards?
The Tutoring Awards are set to be an extraordinary showcase highlighting the remarkable quality and diversity of professional tutors and tuition businesses in the UK. These awards establish a standard of excellence in the tuition sector, recognising organisations that have truly made a transformative difference in students' academic journeys and life prospects. We are very proud to be nominated for these awards and support schools and learners across the UK in their educational journey by providing exceptional resources and tutors alike.
What have Yipiyap been nominated for?
Best Tuition Delivery to Schools 2023
Yipiyap recruits and employs high-achieving school leavers to work in schools, in college and online as academic peer mentors. We pride ourselves in providing bespoke academic peer tutoring for Key Stages 1 - 5, including Alternative Provision, ESOL, EAL, SEND, and adult support. In the 2022-23 academic year, over 130 students have benefited from Yipiyap tuition in 70+ schools and colleges across the UK.
Best Educational Resources for Tuition 2023 - Yipiyap On Demand
2022 saw the launch of Yipiyap On Demand, Yipiyap’s online learning platform, delivering pre-recorded, short-form videos created by Yipiyap tutors with all the charm and relatability of a typical live-session.
The platform was launched with a primary focus on GCSE resit English and Maths topics (grades 1-4) and has since expanded into GCSE grade 5-9, Functional Skills and pastoral/exam skills content, serving thousands of students across dozens of schools and colleges.
The warmth and encouragement of the individual tutors delivers provision in a way that is highly relatable. Yipiyaps speak to students in their language and humour, praise and enjoyment are naturally woven into the fabric of the videos rather than the explicit focus being on outcomes and achievement. As high-achieving peer mentors, they know exactly how to communicate the content to viewers through their own experience and, often, through the work they do in school as a Yipiyap tutor.
People’s Choice Award
In addition to the above nominations, Yipiyap is eligible for the People’s Choice Award for best Tuition Business. We believe our services are one of its kind and we would greatly appreciate your support in recognising our positive impact in the education sector. When will the winners be announced?
The winners will be announced on Friday 30th June at the National Tutoring Awards gala dinner in London. Fingers crossed! 🤞
